JD Vance would be the third-youngest vice president in history

The senator, born on August 2, 1984, would be 40 years old at the time of a potential second inauguration for former President Donald Trump. Richard Nixon was 160 days younger when sworn in on Jan. 20, 1953.

Note: Some vice presidents served multiple terms, including under different presidents. Values reflect the youngest and oldest at the time of their first swearing in as vice president.
