Grocery price changes since January

The price of many grocery staples increased between January 2025, when President Trump returned to office, and September 2025. Costs for some others — most notably, eggs — decreased.

All percentages are derived from seasonally adjusted data except where only unadjusted data was available (for baby food and formula; dried beans, peas, and lentils; fresh cakes and cupcakes; fresh sweetrolls, coffeecakes, doughnuts; frozen noncarbonated juices and drinks; peanut butter).
