Those in the high attention group say they frequently seek out political news, while those in the some attention group say they follow major developments, but don't seek them out. Those in the lower attention group report paying attention to politics only when necessary or not at all.

Methodology: The latest CNN poll was conducted by SSRS online or by phone from May 5-26 among a random national sample of 2,539 US adults drawn from an address-based sample or through random digit dialing. Results shown in this chart have a margin of sampling error of up to ±4.8 percentage points.
