Trump’s Electoral College win to be among the slimmest

To win the presidency, a candidate needs 270 electoral votes. Trump is projected to win with 306 votes – by no means the largest margin for a victory. Here is how he stacks up compared to other presidents, ranked by percentage of electoral votes won.

*John Q. Adams received fewer electoral votes and fewer popular votes than Andrew Jackson, but won the election in the House of Representatives, with 13 State delegations voting for John Q. Adams, 7 voting for Jackson and 3 voting for Crawford.
