Tracking high waters on US rivers and streams

Here’s where river and stream gauges have reached flood stage in the last day.

Notes: Data is retrieved once an hour. The map shows the highest level for each gauge over flood stage in the previous 24 hours and waters may have receded since. The National Weather Service defines minor flooding as causing “minimal or no property damage, but possibly some public threat,” moderate flooding as “some inundation of structures and roads near the stream” with possible evacuations and major flooding as “extensive inundation of structures and roads” and “significant evacuations.”
