The current status of hostages abducted by Hamas and its allies on October 7

In total, 251 people in Israel were taken on October 7, 2023. The Israeli government says 57 are still in Gaza as of May 12, 2025.

Note: One additional hostage that was taken before Oct. 7, 2023, is still in Gaza (an IDF soldier killed in 2014). Data through May 12, 2025.
