Heavy rainfall causes deadly flash flooding in Spain
The country’s eastern and southern regions are worst affected by the storm that started on Tuesday. The town of Chiva in the Valencia region received 320mm (12.6in) of rain in just over four hours – the region averages 77mm (3in) for the entire month of October.
