Thailand and Cambodia's border dispute escalated into deadly clashes after both sides accused each other of opening fire Thursday morning

Tensions flared along the border with Thailand launching airstrikes against Cambodian military targets and accusing Cambodia of launching rockets into civilian areas. The violence killed at least 12 people in Thailand, while fatalities in Cambodia have not been reported. Thailand has since closed all border crossings with Cambodia.
