Israel says it will begin daily 'pause' of combat in parts of Gaza

The Israeli military announced a "tactical pause in military activity" for a section of Gaza that falls outside a "dangerous combat zone." The daily pause will be in effect from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time, continuing every day "until further notice." The announcement said that designated "secure routes" will be established to allow humanitarian organizations to safely distribute food and medicine.
