Maduro's heavily fortified compound
This secure complex inside Fort Tiuna was the primary target of the US operation to extract Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, according to a CNN investigation. Social media footage analyzed by CNN appears to show two helicopters landing in and departing from the compound, which Maduro has been using since at least 2024.
