Where the earthquake caused the strongest shaking
A 6.8 magnitude earthquake hit southern Japan, causing intense shaking in parts of the island of Kyushu. The city of Kumamoto and its surroundings saw the strongest shaking, where a shopping mall partially collapsed and left several people trapped.
