How snowfall changed during past El Niño winters

Data from past El Niños can give us an idea of where snow may pile up in the coming winter.

Anomaly reflects difference between a given winter's snowfall and a 1959–2026 baseline; areas with fewer than 5.08 mm average snow water equivalent from 1991–2020 are excluded from analysis.
